Eight Steps To Your Completed Project

  1. First Contact
    During an initial phone call we will establish what you are looking to achieve and how Thomas Construction can help you.

  2. Initial Meeting
    From there we set up an initial meeting where we hone in on the desired result you are looking to achieve. Then we will establish how Thomas Construction, and our associated sub trades, can not only deliver this but also exceed your expectations. 

  3. Permissions
    Certain works will require local council approvals. We will advise you on the best course of action to take to gain the necessary permissions and explain what is necessary. 

  4. Proposal
    f you and Thomas Construction feel that we are the best fit for the project we then move to the design, pricing or estimate stage. If we are pricing against other companies, we will set up a project comparison meeting and go through all pricing in detail with, so as to compare what has been included in each quote and check to see where the best value for you lies.

  5. Documentation
    If we are both happy to proceed, then we complete the necessary documentation, arrange the deposit and move to the procurement and scheduling stage.

  6. Construction

    • Progress Payments. You will make progress payments as set out in our proposal.

    • Variations. Any additional works or variations will be agreed upon before work is started. 

    • Walkthroughs. Once the project is underway we schedule regular walkthroughs to explain what stage we are up to, outline the upcoming stages and cover any questions or alternative options that you may have or we may discover. 

    • Quality Checks. During the build we have staged ‘Thomas Construction Checklists’ which we complete prior to moving on to the next stage. These make sure nothing is missed, but more importantly, confirm that both our team and our associated subcontractors have fully completed their particular stage to our standards.

  7. Completion
    Once building work is completed you will be invoiced for your final payment. We will then complete a walkthrough to ensure that you are fully satisfied. Any snags will be noted and remedied. Thomas Construction will then organise all relevant certifications. 

  8. Follow Up
    Essex Building Specialists will complete a 6 month checkup to ensure that everything is as it should be.
